SEMAPHORE – FLAG SIGNALLING SYSTEM
Did you know that semaphore flag signalling system was designed by the Chappe brothers in France in the late 18th century and was used to carry dispatches between French army units? Each pupil tried to signal the message “HELP”, with arms extended, holding the flags in various positions to represent the different letters of the alphabet.
