At Al-Furqan Primary School, we strive to deliver a high-quality computing curriculum which allows our pupils to recognise the significance of digital technology in their everyday lives. We explicitly teach pupils the skills and knowledge they need to become creative, digitally literate computational thinkers.
We aim to deliver computing lessons that inspire children, with a range of skills and concepts in the modern computing curriculum. Our children will be taught computing in a way that will allow them to participate effectively and safely in the digital world not only during their primary education, but also beyond.
At Al-Furqan, we follow the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) Teach Computing scheme using their cyclical pedagogy to ensure our pupils know more, remember more and are able to do more with their computing knowledge and skills. Online safely is paramount at Al-Furqan Primary School; children will be taught how to use technology safely and respectfully.
