In year two, this term our topic is ‘Art Attack’
During the topic we will be learning about artist such as Carl Warner, Van Gogh and Kurt Shwitter. The children will be looking at the different techniques that these artists used, in order to create their own art work. These techniques will include marble painting, collages and mixing colours.
Later on this term children will be very busy carrying out experiments! They will be looking at mixtures and how they are able to dissolve. Children will be also experimenting with things that are IMMISCIBLE- which are two mixtures that do not mix.
In addition, children will create paint portraits using different colours with their fingers. Children will be to explain why using their fingers as oppose to a brush is still art.

I enjoyed doing art attack because we had different types of equipment to create a picture. By using wax, crayons, felt tip pens, play dough, paint and chalk.
